It's not easy to keep pace with the Atlanta Braves. But the Philadelphia Phillies are doing one heckuva job. Currently, they sit just 1.5 games back of the NL East’s top-team, and the overall best team in the National League. As a matter-of-fact, at 19-10, the Phillies own one of the best records in all of baseball. Let's face it, the same can't be said for the Los Angeles Angels. This is a team that's lost four in a row, and nine of the last 10, en route to a 10-18 overall record, which does include a dismal, 3-9 mark at Angel Stadium. Philadelphia is running hot, hot, hot, winning four in a row and eight of the last 10 overall, coming into this matchup. By the way, they are a monster team on the road, going 9-4, which does include a 5-2 record during the current road trip. Christopher Sanchez and Griffin Canning are scheduled here. With Philly starting to heat up at the plate, the left-hander is going to get a ton of run support, which wasn't the issue earlier this season. I mean let's face it, he is 1-3 overall, but has an anemic ERA of 2.96. Take Philadelphia. Thank you.

Following a six-game win streak, Los Angeles took a 3-1 loss to close out a three-game series on the road with Toronto yesterday. This is a team that doesn't take losing lightly, and loves to take it out on their following opponent. What better team to face than Arizona. The Diamondbacks have dropped six of the last 10 coming into today's series opener. If you recall a season ago in the second week of October (and we all know what that means), Arizona swept L.A. three games to none. I'm sure the Dodgers have had this series circled since the schedule came out. James Paxton and Tommy Henry are scheduled here. The Dodgers left-hander is 2-0 with a 2.61 ERA on the campaign, while the Diamondbacks left-hander is 1-1, with a whopping ERA of 5.55 thus far. At home this season, he is winless, at 0-1 with a whopping ERA of 10.80. I see Los Angeles bouncing back here from yesterday’s loss, and also redeeming themselves, getting a little vengeance from last October’s sweep. Take the Dodgers. Thank you.

At first glance, you might think that picking either side in this matchup is a tough decision. However, there is a huge disparity between the way the Nationals and the Marlins are playing. Washington, which is just one-game under .500 at 13-14, is solid on the road, sporting a 9-6 record this season, and have won three consecutive contests. Miami, which possesses the worst record in all of baseball, at 6-23, is on a six-game slide, and possesses the single worst home record as well, at 2-14 at Loan Depot Park this season. The Nationals have taken all three games thus far in this series, exploding for a total of 26 runs. Right-hander, Jake Irvin comes off an ugly outing. But has been solid prior to that. Left-hander, Trevor Rogers has good numbers, but just can't get any real run support. Basically, this game comes down to that, run support. Washington scores more than a half a run per game offensively, while allowing nearly a full run less per game. We are siding with the visitors here. Take the Nationals. Thank you.

Oklahoma City Thunder.

Being up 3-0, the Western Conference’s top-seeded, Oklahoma City Thunder has an opportunity to finish off the series and get some rest, some time to heal, and extra time to prepare until they take on the winner of the Los Angeles Clippers/Dallas Mavericks series. This would be huge for the Thunder. And let's face it, they have the ability to close out this series in a sweep. They have taken seven of the last eight meetings straight up against the New Orleans Pelicans, covering six of those eight meetings. This series alone, they have outscored their opponent by an average of 18.3 points per game. Let's face it, the Pelicans, without their top player, Zion Williamson are basically dead in the water. This is a team that's lost five of the last six straight up, going 2-4 ATS during that time. They have failed to cover eight of the last 10 games played at the Smoothie King Center. I just don't see them putting up too much of a fight as they know their season is over. Take the Oklahoma City. Thank you.

The Golden Knights are a darn good…no, they are a damn good hockey team. Obviously, we all know there are the defending Stanley Cup Champions. And we are all aware this season they struggled a bit more than most expected. However, just before the postseason began, they got healthy with the return of several key players. They opened up this Round 1 series taking both Games 1 and 2 in Dallas. Game 3 was to be played at The Fortress. And it was a very competitive game. But the Las Vegas home team fell short in overtime. Being up 2-0 is huge in the playoffs. We all know that. The Golden Knights must win this evening or the series becomes tied 2-2 and returns back to Dallas. The entire scenario changes and the odds of Vegas taking this series declines significantly. They know this. There's no way they' are going to drop back-to-back games on their home ice. There's no way they're going to allow the Stars back into this series. Take the Golden Knights. Thank you.
